The Motto comes from St. Bernard's most beloved book of Scripture: Song of Songs. It is a distillation of the Gospel: That Christ Jesus loves us, and gave himself up for us on the Cross. And because of his ransoming, we belong to Him. I am bought for a great price, and because He first loved us, we love him. He is my beloved, and I belong to Him: I am my Beloved's.
